New for 2024! Scout Programs are now Conservation Connections!
All youth learners and small groups interested in conservation and learning how to be eco-advocates are welcome to participate, including Scouting, 4-H, FFA, homeschool, and any other youth organization.
This redesigned program will have various topics for three different age ranges. Adventure (5-8 year olds), Discovery (8-10 year olds), and Exploration (10-14 year olds). Classes are geared toward engaging all students in hands-on learning while meeting some badge requirements.
Private badge specific classes for entire troops are available by request.

Long Lenses for Long Necks Photography Safari – World Giraffe Day!
The ever-iconic African animal – the Giraffe. But what one doesn't think about is how tricky it might be to take a satisfying photo due to the impressive size and extraordinarily long legs and necks. Bring your scopes and tripods as you spend the morning wandering around the grasslands on the upper and lower trails - taking photos as the plants and animals wake for the day. While you are working, you will learn about animal behaviors and lifestyles, as well as conservation issues different species face in the wild.
Therefore, we invite you to join us on Saturday, June 21, at 7:00 am for our Long Lenses for Longnecks Photography Class for Adults (18 yrs. +). This class will focus on styles, lighting, approaches, and orientation so beginners and experienced photographers can catch that once-in-a-lifetime photo. We will also be getting to know our subjects better by participating in a private giraffe feeding (weather permitting) before we get into the heavy photography portion of the class.
