This summer, Mystery Code Society is offering a fundamentals of code course, a free coding class at UNO's Criss Library (6401 S University Dr Rd N, Omaha, NE 68132)


Schedule and Deadlines
Sundays 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM, June 22nd - August 3rd, 2025 with a break on July 6th for Independence day (6 weeks).


Participants do NOT need any prior coding experience OR a computer of their own to take this class. This class is for female-identifying middle school students!


The application is due by June 5th.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, students will learn fundamentals of code through the exploration of Scratch. Some of the concepts that will be covered include: data types and variable assignments, loops, conditionals, functions. By the end of this 6-week course, students will be able to apply what they have learned to build a game of their own.
